Angello Dei Lices

I came this Friday evening on the recommendation of friends and was very disappointed. I waited at least 40 minutes for a pizza with no toppings, just a smothered tomato sauce. The portion of dough on the plate was tiny enough for a 6-year-old; I could have easily eaten four. The dessert was tasteless and very small too. I do not recommend it.

Passing through Rennes for the evening, we appreciated the warm welcome and especially the quality of the meal. The penne with chorizo ​​was excellent 😜 We were surprised by the size of the Tira Breizh, but considering the quality, it was quite sufficient 😉

Pasta, pizza, drinks / wonderful wine and sparkling wine. Perfect service! It's definitely worth a visit…

I left Angello Dei Lices with mixed feelings. To begin with, the pizza was okay, but nothing special. The biggest disappointment came from the wine: we ordered a half-liter carafe of wine, pompously labeled "Vin supérieur français" on the menu. The result was quite mediocre; it was impossible to know what we were actually drinking (no name or details about its origin). And to top it all off, the bill came to €21 for this carafe, a frankly excessive price for such disappointing quality. This is definitely not a place I would recommend to accompany a meal.

The menu offers a burrata topping, which is great. But when you order a certain "traditional" pizza, the pizza chef refuses to do it. I'm used to making more unusual changes, which are always accepted. Luckily, the servers are friendly enough to make up for these kinds of whims. In that case, please don't offer these kinds of toppings on the menu. Thankfully, the pizza itself is delicious.

I know Angelo for his pizzas, which I enjoy, but I tried the truffle pasta and what a disappointment! The plate was gone in four bites flat. At €19 a dish, that's expensive per bite, especially when the truffle has no flavor. I'll stick to pizzas next time so I don't leave hungry.

Excellent Italian restaurant. Everything is delicious: pizza, ravioli, pasta carbonara... Kudos to the waiter who is extremely kind and takes orders without a cue card and never makes a mistake! We will gladly return and highly recommend it!

Having been a regular customer of this establishment for several years, I can only recommend it, whether in terms of the welcome, the location, the setting and the quality of the pizzas.

We've been going there regularly for quite a few years now, the welcome is exceptional and the pizzas are great, what more could you ask for?

An evening full of surprises
