FLUNCH RENNES

As regular visitors to Rennes, we often stop at Flunch. We think there's been a real improvement in the kitchen, and it shows—in a good way! The staff are pleasant, smiling, and attentive. We were left with mixed feelings after our previous visit (photo of our duck breast after three requests for recooking... The person behind the grill was asking their colleague how to cook it because they admitted they didn't know anything about it... 🥴). We were pleasantly surprised and, this time, found the same quality we were used to. We'll gladly come back.

I wanted to share my opinion because we were particularly disappointed today. We don't come regularly, but several times a year with our child. With each visit, my partner and I have noticed the same thing: the more we come, the more we feel the Flunch is deteriorating. The biggest problem is undoubtedly the cleanliness. The tables aren't cleaned between customers, the floor is often dirty with food everywhere, the condition of the glasses sometimes leaves much to be desired, and the restrooms were in a truly deplorable state today. Another point for improvement: the buffet isn't always properly stocked. It often happens that some dishes or side items are empty, which is a shame when you're eating in. Another issue: there's no air conditioning upstairs! Finally, the chicken tenders section could also be better organized. On each of our visits, there was a long wait, as these items are very popular and part of the children's menu. This can quickly become complicated when dining with young children. It's all the more unfortunate because the staff are pleasant and welcoming, and the food is good for fast food. With a real focus on cleanliness and better management of restocking the buffet and the most requested items, the experience would be much more enjoyable.

Perfect for us...!

I came on July 17th at 9:00 AM to have breakfast at the kiosk, and the person serving at the bar was unfriendly, complaining about their job in front of the customer and questioning the customer's choice. (They complained about having too many dishes and too much work, even though there were only three customers), after I ordered a milkshake. P.S.: A smile is not optional.

Nothing to report. The only downside is that there's no air conditioning upstairs.

Too Good To Go experience. It's really good, except they don't offer enough baskets, and in the end, you find out the rest will be thrown away, you can only take one starter, etc. It's incomprehensible when you're using an anti-waste app... and it's not in line with current trends either.

The food is fairly basic. It's inexpensive and the quality is worth it. It's absolutely packed at lunchtime on weekdays. It's a bad idea to come at 1 p.m., for example. But it's open on Sundays, which is very convenient.

The food was excellent, a lovely buffet, piping hot, and the staff were smiling and welcoming.

I really like this Flunch

Extremely disappointing. I ordered a rare hamburger for adults, and I ended up with a disgusting, overcooked, and greasy patty on a flimsy plastic plate! It's a disgrace to have paid €10 for this!

Passing through Rennes with my family, we stopped at Flunch, trusting the brand. What a disappointment right from the entrance! The glasses were unclean, and the cashier's response was more than nonchalant. The hygiene was more than questionable, at 2 PM... (tables hadn't been washed or needed washing, the floor was littered with dirt, and the kitchen reception area looked worrying given hygiene standards). The staff showed a lack of rigor and motivation (using hot tongs to retrieve frozen food, the freezer left open for too long). I suspect a manager or team leader is just wasting time (starting to serve and disappearing without finishing, giving orders and speaking rudely to colleagues, which makes the service unpleasant). Regarding the children's menu, the dessert wasn't suitable for young children, and the photos, while not contractual, didn't reflect reality. Have a good day.
