What an exceptional restaurant! I'd read about their small, seasonal menu, and the fact that they catered well for vegetarians as well as those who eat meat, and four of us decided to give it a go for lunch. We all had different dishes - shredded beef with fennel and potato dauphinoise, a bocconcini salad, a vegetable lasagne and a burger - and they were all impressive. Although we hadn't planned to have desserts, given the quality of the mains we gave them a go and they were also winners.

Absolutely fantastic! The welcome and service were superb, the dishes were delicious and generous in both quantity and flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had an excellent lunch. Thank you again!

In the heart of Rennes, near Place Sainte Anne, Bistrot Canaille is a delightful discovery! No endless menu... but that doesn't mean you're lacking in choice. The home-style cooking is excellent, with generous portions. The service is quick and attentive. The bill isn't too steep. A real treat!

What a pleasant surprise! Not being from the area, we chose this restaurant based on the prices and the menu. Excellent value for money, very well cooked, with unusual side dishes and beautifully presented plates. The portions were quite generous (we opted for the weekend menu, and with nine of us, we were able to try everything). Special mention goes to the very original lemon puff pastry! The service was perfect, very smooth, not too long a wait but not too fast either, with a touch of humor. Excellent.

A great find! Beautiful dishes to suit all tastes. Affordable prices. Friendly staff, quick service without being rushed. Worth a visit.

We went there on Saturday evening, May 9, 2026, with my son and son-in-law. Once we ordered our aperitifs, our starters arrived 5 minutes later. I had vegetarian lasagna, and unfortunately, it was dry and the pasta was overcooked, almost burnt. Otherwise, the rest was very good and plentiful.

Don't hesitate to go in; you won't be disappointed. The food and service are excellent. The dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. The service is efficient and attentive. Good value for money. We recommend this small restaurant located near the tourist office. A great find during our visit to Rennes.

The food was very good and very affordable! They also make excellent cocktails. This restaurant was formerly called Satio Aperitivo. The staff is very friendly. We had a great time.
